Croswell, Sept 28 - Mrs. Daniel Blake, 76, died at her home on Anderson avenue Sunday. Mrs. Blake was a well known resident of Sanilac county, having lived in this vicinity almost all her life.

Her husband preceded her in death a number of years ago. Eight children by a former marriage survived her. They are: Miss Rillaa Shubel, Miss Lois Shubel, Francis M. Schubel and Mrs. William Morrish, of Detroit; William F. Schubel and, Mrs. Lewis Koehler, Lexington; Clara A. and Leona Shubel, Croswell. Two brothers and one sister also survive.

The funeral services were held at the residence at 2 p.m. Tuesday with interment in the Lexington cemetery.

Scrapbook - Pvt Earl Binder Army Induction

Pvt. Earl Binder, son of Carl Binder, Ubly, and the late Mrs. Binder was inducted into the Army October 21, 1941. He was first sent to Fort Custer for two weeks and then transferred to Camp Wolters, Tex., where he returned 12 weeks before going to his present post at Fort Dix, N. J. He was home on 10-day furlough because of the recent death of his mother.

Ubly, July 4 - Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday from the Ubly Lutheran church for Mrs. Chris Binder, 80, Thumb pioneer, who died Monday night at her home here. Burial will be in the Valley cemetery.

Mrs. Binder had lived in the Thumb district since she was 18 years old. Her family settled in Forestville. She had been married nearly 61 years to Chris Binder, who survives her. Eight children, 31 grand children and eight great grandchildren also survive.

Scrapbook - Christian Binder Death Notice

Ubly, Apr. 30 - Funeral services for Christian Binder, 87, who died Tuesday afternoon in the old homestead in Bingham township, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday from the Bingham Lutheran church.

Rev. E. C. Stieg, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in the chuch cemetery.

Mr. Binder is survived by eight children. He had lived in Huron county 74 years, first coming to the vicinity of Ruth with his parents.
